Wow! What a year it has been... It has been 12 months since I read a tweet that intrigued me to learn more about teaching and connecting through Teleseminars. What has happened since then it pretty amazing!

I want to tell you a little bit about how I came to take Alex Mandossian's Teleseminar Secrets course, what I got from it and how it is helping my business.

HOW I FOUND THE COURSE

In November of 2008, I was minding my own business, twittering away, and saw a tweet that talked about a preview call to learn more about teaching by phone. It was free. I was intrigued so I decided to listen in.

On the preview call, what Alex said made sense. Attention spans are short. People spend about a minute on a web page and move on. But guess what? They will listen to you for up to an hour or more... what's more, if someone is listening to you, they are getting to know you. Your voice, the way you think, act, relate information... The listening builds trust, starts a relationship and creates loyal customers.

I was signed up and had registered the domain, www.AskTaraReed.com, before the call was over. (Don't tell Alex I was multi-tasking - he advises against it when he's teaching!) I'm about to do my 12th "ask" call - an invaluable concept I learned from Alex... more about that in a minute.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM THE COURSE

First, that there is much to learn! One thing I love about Teleseminar Secrets is that Alex isn't afraid to share tons of ideas, strategies and techniques. The key is for you not to be afraid and overwhelmed by the amount of information shared! The calls are long and content rich - you don't have to do everything right away and all the calls are recorded so you can go back and listen to them at your convenience.

Many courses teach you one thing. That one thing may or may not be a fit for your business. Alex gives you so many ideas that you are sure to find some that work for you.

I am an artist who licenses her art to go on products sold in stores. I teach artists about the art licensing industry and how to go about doing what I do. I have implemented Ask Calls, Article Marketing, and one-time Teleseminars as a result of the course. I have yet to try a Teleseminar Series because I don't know that I or my market are ready.

People in other industries may find a different mix of things covered in Teleseminar Secrets to work. To me, that is much of the beauty of the course - lots of ideas, implement what works for you.

Being a "jump right in" kind of person, I entered the challenge that Alex puts out to get people trying the concepts right away. I was one of 6 "newbie" finalists! WHAT THE COURSE IS DOING FOR MY BUSINESS

The "Ask Calls" are the #1 take-away from the course for my business. Doing free calls, that answer questions submitted by artists, has done so many things. It has allowed me to connect with artists on a very different and more personal level. I can't tell you how many times I have had artists hire me for coaching, email me or buy other products because they have learned so much from the content on the ask calls.

I have also connected with other experts in my industry who are now part of my monthly "Ask Call" program. They have become friends, mentors, and partners.
